Nonsurgical
Dermal Fillers
Hyaluronic acid fillers restore volume, smooth folds, and define facial contours. Customizable, with results lasting six months to over a year depending on the product and area.
Overview
Hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers are injectable treatments that restore volume, soften folds, and refine facial contours. Common areas include the cheeks, under-eye region, nasolabial folds, lips, and jawline. HA fillers are reversible: an enzyme (hyaluronidase) can dissolve the filler if a complication occurs or the patient is unhappy with the result. Different HA formulations have different particle sizes, lift capacity, and integration properties; the right product depends on the area, the depth of placement, and the result the patient wants. Results last six to eighteen months depending on the product and the location.

FAQ
Common questions.
Is filler reversible?
Hyaluronic acid fillers are reversible — hyaluronidase can dissolve the filler if there is a complication or the patient is unhappy. Non-HA fillers (Sculptra, Radiesse) are not reversible in the same way.
Will it look natural?
When dosed carefully and placed correctly, yes. Overdosing — particularly in the lips and cheeks — is the most common cause of unnatural appearance. Dr. Azadgoli's team errs conservative and adds more in follow-up if needed.
Filler or fat grafting?
Filler is in-office, immediate, and reversible but requires repeat treatment. Fat grafting is surgical, takes longer to settle, but is permanent. Different commitments; different patients.
How long do fillers last?
Six to eighteen months depending on the product and the area. Lip filler tends to last shorter (six to nine months); cheek filler can last up to two years.
What if I don't like the result?
Hyaluronic acid fillers are reversible — hyaluronidase dissolves the product. We use it for complications, asymmetry, or patient preference. This safety net is one of the reasons HA fillers are the most common choice.
How do I avoid an overdone look?
Conservative dosing, careful placement, and waiting two weeks between sessions before adding more. The most common cause of an unnatural appearance is too much product, especially in the lips and cheeks.
